RIP “Thunder Thumbs” Louis Johnson.

I bought my Music Man Stingray because of him. I used to practice to his instructional VHS tapes and try to “slapa de bass” He played on a lot of your favorite MJ hits, including Don’t Stop Till Ya Get Enough.

Brothers Johnson paved the way for Bass players to shine outside of being a studio musician hit maker behind the scenes. From Flea to Larry Graham, LJ was influencing bass players all around the world.
