Last chance to download DJ MIXES & EDITS on Soundcloud. If you’re a fan, I recommend you follow me on Mixcloud, Mixcrate, Hearthis.at, Bandcamp, Explore and Audiomack. I will be removing all.

Better yet, go direct and signup for my newsletter at jboogie.com – that way you don’t have to filter through a social media/ad company to receive info on the music you like

Please don’t be mad at the Germans. Anyone in the industry knows Soundcloud has it’s hands tied by the big three. The old guard are trying to get their money by cutting off fingers. There will be something new, I will be there, and until then: find me direct!

UPDATE:

I just took down over half my Soundcloud profile to escape a 3rd strike from Sony and the impending doom of losing my entire account and followers.
After taking screen shots of my stats and collecting all the content I’ve uploaded for you over the years, THE THING I’LL MISS THE MOST ARE YOUR COMMENTS. The feedback from listeners is what kept me going in the middle of the night, in the studio alone with ears bleeding.

Knowing somebody is actually listening is what keeps underground artists grinding, and I thank Soundcloud for giving us the opportunity to shine online.
It’s too bad the majors don’t get it and are willing to stomp out the creativity of the DJs and producers that support them. Get real, this isn’t about copywrite, it’s about $$$.

I’m betting my money that there are DJs getting the green light from the majors – ignoring the fact that they include them in DJ mixes without clearance. How many strikes does Diplo have on his account? You think the BBC is calling the labels to clear each tune?

The good news is we’ll all be hearing more original music from up and coming, talented producers, and there’s no more hiding behind Aaliyah remixes – they will have to show us their real chops.

In the mean time, where will you be while we wait for Sony, Universal and Warner to sign the deal?
